Presentation:

An increasing number of transformational gifts making news these days are “blended” gifts. They are decreasingly outright…they are decreasingly by bequest. They are increasingly a combination of current and future giving. The combination of these two giving methods – supporting the organization with current dollars (often pledged over time) and a commitment to make a future gift through a will, trust or other revocable estate-planning vehicle – can be explosive and transformational. Understanding donor motivations, identifying prospects inclined to respond positively, exploring real examples of blended gift success, advising on the proper approach to these gift requests, and providing a forum for question and strategy discussions are all core elements of this engaging presentation. Chris Looney, Principal and Managing Director of CCS, will lead this lively discussion. Whether 1 year in your career or 53 years (an homage to his mom Claudia), you’ll leave empowered, equipped, and enabled. Empowered to ask for blended gifts as you work to secure the future of your organization. Equipped to use blended asks to have deeper donor conversations, ask more strategic questions and close transformational gifts. Enabled to better maneuver organizational challenges as you integrate blended asks in working with your donors.
